What Am I Thankful For This Thanksgiving?

Although I do not celebrate Thanksgiving (since I am a Brit living in the United Kingdom) I do know that a huge chunk of my readers and visitors to this blog are from the United States. So I do acknowledge the holiday.

As it is a day where you are meant to give thanks I thought it would be interesting if I published a blog post giving thanks to the various important tools that I use to help make money on the internet.

WordPress

Where would I be without WordPress? The answer is a hell of a lot poorer and not doing any of this as a job. I had used pretty much every blogging platform that was on the market until I stumbled across WordPress 2.3, I haven’t looked anywhere else since.

If there was such thing as a God then WordPress would be mine.

Intense Debate

WordPress is by no means perfect, the one thing I dislike about WordPress is it’s poor comments section. That is why I was so happy when somebody pointed me in the direction of Intense Debate.

It is a commenting plugin that discards WordPress’ rubbish version and replaces it with its own superior version. This blog uses it and so should yours. 🙂

Open Office

Being a cheap person I didn’t want to have to fork out hundreds of dollars on copy of Microsoft Office in order to write my article, and Wordpad was hardly going to cut the mustard with its lack of features. So I found a free open source office suite that does all of what Microsoft Office can do …. and does it for free. 🙂

Which tools are you thankful for?
