September 2012 Blog Income Report

September was the month that contained my birthday, what did I do to celebrate? I spent the entire day working of course. That’s right, no visits to the local pub for me or tales of debauchery with friends. I’m glad I did work the day because I don’t think I would have achieved the numbers I did otherwise.

Visitor Count & Page Impressions

The unique visitor count for September stands at 1,258 which is an increase of 473 from the month of August.

The page impression count for September stands at 4,409, which is a big increase of 2,293 from the month of August.

This means that each unique visitor looked at 2.59 pages.

My bounce rate has dropped like a stone from 62.93% to 52.06%.

– I am very pleased and relieved to see that I have finally managed to halt the slump in traffic. There were a couple of days where my traffic spiked nicely to over 200 unique visits a day but Google Analytics wouldn’t tell me where they came from (“Not Provided”).

– CPMFun is a new network that I have been toying about with this month, their payout is rather high at $100 but they don’t seem to be displaying any dodgy ads yet. I will be replacing ZapUnited with them.

– I have set up a savings account and will be depositing some funds into it every month, I will be including the monthly interest into my income report as the money I’m putting in will come from online earnings.

– I am pleased to see that I made an increase in almost every area in September, I am slowly inching my way to that $800 goal.

October 2017 Blog Income Report

Every month since November 2007 I have written an income report which documents all the methods I have used to make money over the past month, I do this because I want to help people to make money online like I do, and believe that showing people what I earn is the best way to …

  1. Great Dean Saliba you have find the right source to get some earnings have you tried adsense can you share some post about it

    • I was banned from Adsense in 2004 because a friend thought he was doing my a favour and started clicking on my ads. I reapplied with my same Google Account a couple of years ago and they accepted me and warned me to behave. Six months later I was banned again because whoever approved my submission had done it in error.

I never made much with them anyway.

  2. #1 on the comment rankings? Sweet! I’m just going to pretend it’s not a six-way tie.

I appreciate you sharing your ad revenue here. I don’t use have ads as a revenue source on any of my sites but I’m definitely interested in seeing how they pay and exploring the possibilities in theory a bit. I know there are definitely some niche sites I could build that could probably use those networks, but I just haven’t got around to any of them yet due to various factors.

    • How many other blogs can you leave a couple of comments on and find yourself announced as a top commentator for that month? 😛 I actually delete a lot of comments, not just spam but ones that I don’t think are good enough (spelling mainly) which is why the comment count on here isn’t as high as other blogs. 🙂

  3. Congratulations Dean, you have finally achieved your goals. I know it is not the same always but yes things improve with time. And I believe the same is happening with you. Readers are finally recognizing the quality of your blogs and that is why the increase in the number of visits. I wish you luck.

  4. continue to look for another job and file for weekly benefits, and I also continue to receive small payments from Google.

  5. This is a very frank behavior of sharing your income details with your readers. It needs courage and I really appreciate it. I don’t know some might not like the open display of earnings. However I wanted to ask you some personal questions if you don’t mind and that is – Is it really possible to earn this good by blogging? and another question would be – does it need someone really good at blogging to achieve these figures?

    • I decided to publish my income on the blog in a bid to show other people that it is indeed possible to make money online without having to spend lots of money buying stock. I consider myself to be a below average writer so if I can do it then there is hope for everyone else. 😛

  6. Don’t work for a company called they are a scam and owe me money. They keep pushing the pay date a month. I have been waiting 2 months for payment, they don’t respond to emails or phone calls and make up the rules as they go. It says you get paid once a month its been 2, they don’t state how much you have to have in your account in order to get paid, yet they have told other bloggers you otherwise. This company is a scam and I wish I could find any social media places they have so I can commit on them to tell people to stay away from them. I really thinking about going to the companies they have you do blog posts on and tell them they are hiring a company that is a scam and its not paying their bloggers what they owe!

  7. Congratulation Dean, In this month i’m also wants to add in your top commentator list….

  8. Very nice on achieving your goals! Freelance writing cane be a rough spot but when you start getting it together you really can rake in some extra income.

    • I’ve been told that I should not include freelance writing in my report as it wasn’t earnt on this blog, but the majority of my freelance writing does end up on other people’s blogs so I think it still sort of counts – what do you think?

  9. Hi Dean, these are really some impressive earnings. Looks like you are doing pretty well with your freelance writing service alone. Anyways, best of luck for the upcoming months.

  10. Wish you luck for your $800 goal and I don’t think it would be difficult for you to achieve since I was quite impressed looking at your September’s income report. And I don’t think you are an average writer, you are pretty good at it, trust me, otherwise achieving the amount you did in September too would have been a difficult task.

  11. Thanks for this inspiring article. I am also in the Personal Development Blogging Niche and I am trying to also make money blogging and hopefully start a full time business online in a few years. I also realised that with blogging it takes quite a while before you really earn something substantial so I am just trying to give as much good content with my blog.

    • It does indeed take a lot of effort but when the fruits of your labor start to show you will find it is well worth it. 🙂 Keep going my friend, you’ll get the success you deserve very soon. 🙂

  12. Another great month Dean!
I really love the way that you share your top search terms…I think that I may begin to incorporate that into my income reports!
I also just noticed that you show a grand total of how much you have made with this blog so far…impressive!
Thanks for being transparent, and sharing your earnings.

    • Thank YOU for the nice comments, I hope that many people find my income reports informative and maybe they will gain some inspiration from them. 🙂

I like to include my search terms because sometimes it brings up really weird search terms that lead people to this blog. 🙂

  13. Congrats on your income report, my blog is in its first month now and if i can eventually get to a similar level to you i would be more than happy.
