Linkworth Finally Get Their House In Order

If you are a part of Linkworth, and you were due a payment, then you might have noticed that the payments for May 2012 were not sent out as they normally were. The payment was listed as being sent in your account report but the payments never made it to PayPal.

I waited as sometimes PayPal drags it heals when it comes to putting the payments into the accounts but after a week I did start to become concerned as every month I get at least $50 from Linkworth and $50 is $50, I earnt it so I want it.

I contacted them and was told bluntly to read their blog. I didn’t even know they had a blog. I looked on their site and didn’t see one, I had to search Google to find it. There was a post that said there was an unknown delay in payments arriving with PayPal.

Why was there only a blog post about this on a blog that you have to search Google to find? Why did Linkworth not EMAIL their members to inform them of this?

I waited until June 7th and still had not had any news so I emailed them again and while I was waiting for a reply I checked their blog, the post had mysteriously been deleted. I used the cached feature in Google and saw that before they deleted the post they had written an update and stuck it on the end of the original post saying PayPal had not received the money they sent and that it was missing.

Again why was nobody emailed about this? They did not even create a new post to let people know, they just slipped it on the end of an existing post that they then deleted.

About 12 hours after I emailed them I was finally paid.

While I am pleased that they finally sorted the issue out and paid me (and I hope they paid everyone else who passed the $25 pay-out requirement) I do think they could have handled it a lot better when it came to keeping us informed about what was happening.

I’m due another payment on June 10th I hope this is sent out swiftly because two late payments on the trot will ring alarm bells for me.

Do you use Linkworth? Did you get paid for May 2012?

UPDATE: I checked my account today (June 12th) and discovered that my June payment has been pushed back to July. I’m assuming their bank still hasn’t located the missing funds so they are having top push back payments, I hope this is sorted soon.

  1. Fellow linkworth member here… I was surprised to find you had received your May payment. I have yet to receive mine and as of today – have not received June’s payment either – even though it shows all of it has been deducted from my Linkworth account. I’ve emailed again to find out what is going on, but like you, I am incredibly disappointed in their lack of communication and was seriously disturbed by the removal of the blog post. Why on Earth would the blog only be accessible within in the members dashboard? And, since that is the case, WHY remove the post and update without providing new information? Poor form.

I have not written any blog posts for them since the original payment snafu. I have no interest in racking up more IOUs from them.

    • I wasn’t aware that you could access their blog in the members area, I’ve just had a quick look and couldn’t see it listed anywhere.

What I did notice. however, is that they have pushed my June payment back to July!

I’m guessing the money their bank sent to PayPal still hasn’t been found yet and they are slowly paying people with whatever little money they are scraping together.

I have not written that many posts for them since I joined I have mainly used them for the text link ads, I’ll leave it as it is until July and see if they pay me both June & July in one payment, if they don’t then I’ll give them the elbow.

      • I emailed them shortly after I posted here. They responded back with:

Your payout will be processed shortly with the combined May and June payments. Thank you for your patience.

And, I received my payment for May and June shortly thereafter. But, I agree with you. It seems they are paying out if someone emails them and asks, like you did and like I did… but everyone else they are just trying to act like nothing is wrong and hoping no one causes a stink.

I think their lack of communication says a lot and the disappearing blog posts don’t look very good either.

The blog can be found from the main dash board after logging in. If you look just to the right of the box with your current payout due in July – you’ll see tabs – one says Blog.

But you are right, it’s tough to find and I never noticed it until I got the message that there even was a blog.

        • Oh yes I see it now. 🙂

I’m pleased to see you got your payment, and it does seem like they are only paying people who notice. I’ve already contacted them about my June payment, should get that sorted by the end of the week.

Nice blog by the way. 🙂

  2. Hi! I’m a linkworth member too. And I’m having the same issue as you have. To date, both my May and June payouts did not arrive. Well, I just hope they will be able to sort things out the soonest possible.

    • Contact them via their support system and I’m sure they will pay you, me and AmyD have both received our payments within days of emailing them about it.

  3. I agree with you, I also absolutely value the money that I earn, however small the amount is.

I had faced this problem with them in the month of Nov 2010, I was able to receive the money finally in the month on Jan 2011. But after that incident I left them and have never used their service, I am using some alternate service and it is paying me well and in time!

  6. I’ve an account with Linkworth but I never be able to make money with them, but only with similar sites.
After these delays I don’t know if I should keep my account with them

  7. I have never really used any such service, I have used direct & respected CPA offers, so really had to face a tough time anywhere in the process..

I would suggest don’t run after such companies, they pay you well initially & then they simply vanish!

    • The same could be said for advertising networks and affiliate networks though, you are going to get bad eggs pretty much everywhere.

Linkworth have been around since 2004. 🙂

  8. After reading your experience and the experiences of all the people commenting, Linkworth doesn’t fill me with confidence. The fact that they are consistently late in making payments is indicative of deeper problems within the company. There’s probably a lot more to this story we don’t know about.

    • Well I wouldn’t call 3 times in 8 years consistently but there has definitely been a problem recently and they could have handled it a lot better than they have.

  9. I completely agree. Once you become a resource to your followers, they’ll spread the word and people will continue to come back for more.
