January 2011 Blog Income Report

I promised myself that 2011 was going to be the year that I finally get my finger out and started concentrating on generating income online. Obviously saying I will do it and doing it are 2 different things. The test would come at the end of January. πŸ™‚

I think I did alright with the posts this month. I didn’t post as many posts as I did in December (24) but I still managed 14 and received 160 comments, just under a hundred more than December (68). That means each post pulled in 11.42 comments. Very pleased with that result. πŸ™‚

Page Impressions & Visitor Count

The unique visitor count for January stands at 1,069, which is a nice increase of 124 from the month of December.

The page impression count for January stands at 2,419, which is another huge increase of 451 from the month of December.

This means that each unique visitor looked at 2.26 pages.

– I made nothing through passive income this month because the sites I am working with all went down at the same time so was unable to get the stats.

– I’ve started selling affiliate products. And if I am being honest I think I have done bloody well in my first month! It’s a lot of work but I am hoping to be able to spend less time on it once I get going. πŸ™‚

  2. Those stats are better than mine any day. I’ve been out of the circuit for a while, need to pull my socks up πŸ™‚

And even I’m not surprised to see your SEO post ranking well. At a time when people are raving about SEO, you da man Dean! πŸ˜‰

    • Thank you Jimmy. πŸ™‚ It’s been a long time since someone has called me “da man” and that was when they were picking me out of a police line-up! πŸ˜›

      Only joking. πŸ™‚

  3. Hi Dean,

Well I’m a first time visitor to your blog and I must say, I’m very impressed with your stats. May I ask how old your blog is? I am trying to give the same type of statistics for a rather new blog I’ve only had up a couple of months. It’s going really well I must admit.

Would also like to actually be making more from both blogs but I also have other areas that I am pursuing as well. Just always good to hear how others are progressing. Gives us all hope.

Thanks for the stats and keep up the excellent work. Will be back again to visit.

    • Hiya. Adrienne. πŸ™‚

This blog has been going since November 2007. I have not been running it properly all that time though. There have been big gaps with no new content, which is why the traffic I draw in isn’t that impressive. πŸ™‚

Thank you for visiting and good luck with yours. πŸ™‚

  4. Hello Dean.

Re: Guest posts. I’m still awaiting a reply on my email regarding it. All I need is details.

  7. Hi, this is my first time commenting here. Your affiliate income is very impressive for someone new to it. May I know which affiliate network you’re on, what what niche you’re into?

    • Hiya Ben. The affiliate networks I used was Amazon Associates and a smaller amount from XY7. I’ll be honest and say that I don’t expect to earn anything like that next month. I think it was a complete fluke.

  8. Hi Dean,

For about a year, I think about creating my own blog, but could not find the time. I’m very impressed with your stats. It inspires.

    • Hi Kelly. If I can inspire just one person to start earning monmey with their blog then I have done something right. πŸ™‚ Give it a go, you won’t regret it! πŸ™‚

    • I do post reviews on this blog but I don’t do it very often. I post most of them on my personal blog. This blog was once a PR3 and I lost it (about 2 years ago) because I did too many reviews on this blog. πŸ™‚
