BlogToProfit Go Bye Bye

Earlier this year I announced the sad news that Smorty had closed its doors, the way they suddenly shut down and disappeared during the night still leaves a bad taste in some people’s mouths to this day and it looks like BlogToProfit have gone down the exact same road.

Personally I was paid for my work with them a long time ago and I never received regular work from them, when I added a new blog I would receive a couple of tasks straight away and then that would be it, but I have seen a couple of bloggers comment on their blogs that they are still owed money from them.

This was one of the sites where I made far more money with their referral scheme than I did writing for them ($10.00 per referral, yes please!).

The domain now directs to a site called The Blogging Institute (but keeps referring to itself as The Blog Profit Academy in the content) , who promise to show you secrets to making money online for a modest $19.95 a month. I’m not sure if this is run by the same people or if they sold the domain name to someone else.

This is another example of why it is important not to use just one network, I use as many as I can find and you will find them all listed on my Make Money page.

It is a shame when legit networks like this go down the plughole but scam networks like Blog Advertising Store continue to go from strength to strength.

  1. I just checked your Make Money page for the first time and was kind of surprised just how many sites there were for reviews/linking/ads. I don’t think I’ve ever been to a single one of them.

Sometimes I feel like I’m starting to get this blogging this figured out only to suddenly realize there are complete segments of it I’ve never even touched that other people are consistently using.

    • I hope you found it helpful. There are plenty more that I am testing before I share them on the blog. 🙂

I’m in the same boat as you, I’m always stumbling onto new sites that make me wonder how I didn’t notice them before, I suppose it is one of the fun parts of doing this. 😛

  2. I never heard about this website before… Was this website for outsourcing blog posts?
