5 Domains That I Need Suggestions On What To Do With Them

Tonight I was looking through my hosting account and I noticed that I have a number of domains that are currently sitting around gathering dust as at the moment I do not have ideas on how to use them. It is a shame to leave them to waste so I thought I would publish a quick post to see if anyone could help me generate some ideas on what I should do with them.

I intend to use them with WordPress as the engine and my intention is to monetize the sites to earn an income from them.

The domains were all purchased by me for clients who then decided they did not want them or simply did not pay me for them.

1. clubworldsonline.com

Why I Have It: Purchased for a client who wanted to start a network site were small soccer clubs could register and create their own free little web site to publicise their teams online.

2. eastlondonproduction.com

Why I Have It: Purchased for a client who wanted to publicise their production company. Their production company has since ceased running.

3. millers-maintenance.com

Why I Have It: Purchased for a client who wanted to start a landscape gardening service and wanted to set up a web site to help promote his services.

4. reviewme.org.uk

Why I Have It: Purchased for a client who wanted to start a web blog where a collection of writers would write reviews on various subjects such as movies, music and anything else.

– I have had one thought about this domain and think I might start a blog promoting sponsored post sites such as reviewme.com, sponsoredreviews.com, etc. What do you think?

5. wholefnshow.net

Why I Have It: Purchased for a client who wanted to start a wrestling game online that is known as a wrestling efed.

I’d rather not sell them as they are all PR0 and I think I could earn more from them by using them.

If anyone has any suggestions then you can post them in the comments section below, I’d appreciate the help. 🙂

  1. That’s impossible to answer as all the domains are pretty unique. About the best i can recommend is that you finish what the client started and create your own masterpiece of a website or just wait for the domains to expire.

    • Thank you for your comment Peter. 🙂

The problem with your suggestion is that the clients wanted to turn them into full-blown sites to promote their businesses (one was running a lanscape gardening business, another other was running a production company, etc) I would not have time for that but would have time to turn them into blog sites.

The reviewme.org.uk domain will be used for a blog to promote the various sponsored post sites on the market.

      🙂

  2. Hi Dean 🙂

    – clubworldsonline – doesn’t have to be about football clubs. Could be about night clubs.

    – eastlondonproduction – could be a directory of things that are produced in east london – then you could approach companies that produce them to put their details on the site (for a charge, of course).

    – millers-maintenance – I’m a bit stumped there for what to do with it if you wanna keep it. My first thought was to look for trade individuals/companies with that name and look for what they do for trade. If it’s something in the area of maintenance, then you could offer to sell the domain name to them.

    – reviewme.org.uk – I’m wondering if that won’t get confused with reviewme.com. Would the name be considered copyright? Anyway, maybe you could use it for reviews like you said. Or invite people to write reviews in exchange for a do-follow link back to their site. That way, you’re not providing most of the content.

    – wholefnshow – what does ‘wrestling efed’ mean?

    • Hiya Ebele.:)

Some good ideas there. I have a feeling I won’t be using all the domains now.

I’m not sure if me having a domain similar to review.com will be a problem. I’ll certainly be careful though and will look into it.

Oh and a wrestling efed is where you create a wrestler and you battle other people’s wrestlers by posting huge text roleplays. A judge then reads them all and decides who wins the match. 🙂

  3. Hmmm. I don’t know, Dean. I don’t really like any of these very much, to be honest! I’d recommend just cutting your losses, letting your domains expire, and spend your time building up websites that YOU want to build up!

    • I think I am going to have to agree with part of your comment, Tristan. I think there will be SOME of the domains that I will let run out and cut my losses.

I think turning the reviewme.org.uk domain into a blog promoting sponsored posts sites will be a winner. I get a lot of emails, PMs on forums and traffic about sponsored posts.

The others might be a loss though. 🙂
